Message from the Centre Director

Dear Parents,

Let me share the latest news with you. First of all, our renewal of the contract for our premises

at Ming An Plaza. Everybody knows that we have a great location, but in some ways, we pay for it !

Our rent had been increase by 42% … Yes, you read correctly.

Unfortunately we will have to increase the price of our fees according to a few criteria,

but not on the same scale I have to reassure you.

Also, we are proud to tell you that our summer program is printed and available to you.

Please ask Lois for all the details regarding the schedule and the fees of the Summer program.

"Relationships with our children" open discussion

With Mary Arlington-Watt (Counseling Psychologist)

Communication is the building block with which the relationships with our children are built.

It impacts on emotional bonding, discipline, the acquisition of competencies and, of course,

the self esteem of both parent and child.

Mary Arlington-Watt, a counseling psychologist, will join us on June 5th from 10am till noon,

to present information and facilitate open discussion on this important issue @ Wise Creative Centre.

Theme for May & June

In the month of May, all Centre’s language activities was under the theme of “Wondrous Weather”,

The theme for June will be “Cool Careers”.

I would like to thank Marie & Gregoire who kindly donated some toys.

Phonics at all Ages

Children are not too old to learn phonics. At Wise Creative Centre, we believe that phonics is the foundation of good English learning. Children who have a good grasp of phonics learn to read, write and spell better. To introduce older children to phonics, Wise Creative Centre is now offering a phonics program called “Wise Phonics” for children aged 6 and above.

Our “Wise Phonics” program is based on the popular Jolly phonics method.

Rosa , she is our new teacher, she has a lot of experience with kids of all ages.

She is also working part time for a kindergarten in the New Territories.
